Residents who were near wildfires or burn areas are able to receive\u00a0free\u00a0blood\u00a0lead testing<\/strong>\u00a0through December 2025 by the following two options:<\/p>\n

1. Visit Your Medical Provider.<\/strong>
Ask your doctor for a blood lead test. Testing is covered by most insurance plans, including Medi-Cal.<\/p>\n

\u2013 or \u2013\n<\/p>\n

2. Schedule a Free Blood Lead Test at a Quest Lab.
<\/strong>Call 1-800-LA-4-LEAD (1-800-524-5323) to request a free appointment. Testing is simple, confidential, and convenient.<\/p>\n

The Department of Public Health also has a\u00a0FREE\u00a0soil\u00a0lead testing<\/strong>\u00a0program\u00a0for residents living\u00a0downwind of the Eaton Fire burn area<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
