{"id":208028,"date":"2025-09-07T16:22:14","date_gmt":"2025-09-07T16:22:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/208028\/"},"modified":"2025-09-07T16:22:14","modified_gmt":"2025-09-07T16:22:14","slug":"what-are-the-dallas-cowboys-cheerleaders-really-worth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/208028\/","title":{"rendered":"What are the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders really worth?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones joins &#8216;Fox &amp; Friends&#8217; to discuss his cancer battle, building the Cowboys brand and his &#8216;Landman&#8217; cameo.<\/p>\n<p>The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders recently received a 400% raise to $75 an hour for the 2025 season, marking a victory that also raises questions over whether the iconic squad&#8217;s new compensation now reflects their true value.<\/p>\n<p>The raise was secured by the end of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/category\/netflix\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">season two of Netflix&#8217;s<\/a> &#8220;America&#8217;s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders,&#8221; which premiered in June and highlighted the challenges squad members face. Four-year veteran Megan McElaney revealed on the show the squad members were getting a significant pay raise.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our efforts were heard, and they wanted to give us a raise,&#8221; McElaney said in episode 7. &#8220;And we ended up getting a 400% increase, which is, like, life-changing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The pay increase has also raised questions about how much of the Dallas Cowboys&#8217; $12.8 billion valuation is tied to their cheer squad, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-features\/dallas-cowboys-cheerleaders-show-value-1236347899\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> reported, citing Sportico.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/sports\/dallas-cowboys-cheerleaders-reveal-400-pay-increase-new-season-netflix-series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>DALLAS COWBOYS CHEERLEADERS REVEAL 400% PAY INCREASE IN NEW SEASON OF NETFLIX SERIES<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/dallas-cowboys-cheerleaders-1.jpg\" alt=\"Netflix Summer Break\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders perform during Netflix Summer Break on May 30, 2024, in Los Angeles. (Joe Scarnici\/for Netflix \/ Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>Since the Netflix show&#8217;s debut in 2024, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/lifestyle\/netflix-cheer-docuseries-billion-dollar-competitive-cheerleading\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">famous squad of cheerleaders has<\/a> generated approximately $50.2 million in equivalent brand value for the Dallas Cowboys, according to The Hollywood Reporter, citing Apex Marketing Group President Eric Smallwood.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/sports\/dallas-cowboys-first-sports-team-surpass-10-billion-value\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>DALLAS COWBOYS ARE FIRST SPORTS TEAM TO SURPASS $10 BILLION IN VALUE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That figure \u2014 which does not include merchandise sales or the squad&#8217;s role in broadening the Cowboys\u2019 audience \u2014 reflects high-profile promotional appearances, exposure from the show and the media and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/category\/social-media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">social media<\/a> attention they attract. At the time, five-year veteran Jada Mclean, who is now retired, earned $15 an hour without <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/category\/insurance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">health insurance<\/a>. (Todd Owyoung\/NBC via \/ Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>On Aug. 19, the Dallas Cowboys and its owner, Jerry Jones, became the focus of another Netflix series, &#8220;America\u2019s Team, the Gambler and His Cowboys.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Jones, who purchased the Dallas Cowboys in 1989, told \u2018Fox &amp; Friends\u2019 on Aug. 21 that sports were not financially viable on their own at the time.
