Police are investigating after a 37-year-old man was killed in a shooting that happened in West Philadelphia late Saturday, officials said. <\/p>\n
According to police, officers responded to the 5800 block of Alter Street, in West Philadelphia, at about 11 p.m. on Saturday, to find a man lying in the street after he had been shot several times.<\/p>\n
The man was taken to a nearby hospital where, police said, he was pronounced at about 11:21 p.m.<\/p>\n
Police have not provided further identifying information as, officials said, they were working to notify the victim’s family. <\/p>\n
Also, officials have not provided any motive in this incident and have not made any arrests. <\/p>\n
