According to an\u00a0RCMP media release,\u00a0Lethbridge\u00a0N.L., residents in the Bayview area have been ordered to evacuate immediately due to\u00a0a fire\u00a0near Sexton Lumber sawmill on\u00a0Route 233.<\/p>\n

RCMP\u00a0and Ground Search and Rescue are responding in the area.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Route 233 is impassible in both directions to all traffic and the RCMP are asking residents and motorists to follow direction from first responders.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bayview area of Lethbridge asked to evacuate as fire breaks out near Sexton Lumber<\/p>\n

Jessica O\u2019Neill lives across the bay from the fire and submitted this video of the scene Sunday afternoon as waterbombers tackled the fire.<\/p>\n

The province’s Department of Forestry and the local fire department are responding.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Triple Bay Eagles Ground Search and Rescue also said\u00a0in a post on social media that\u00a0they are\u00a0on scene to assist with the evacuation.<\/p>\n

A resident in the area says two waterbombers have been working on the fire this afternoon.<\/p>\n
