Warner leads studios for 2025 worldwide ($3.778B), offshore ($2.04B) and domestically ($1.738B).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Patrick Wilson\/Vera Farmiga-starrer further had the biggest debut in <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/the-conjuring\/\" id=\"auto-tag_the-conjuring\" data-tag=\"the-conjuring\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Conjuring<\/a> Universe in 41 overseas markets including Germany, Netherlands, Italy, UK and all of Latin America.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIt was also the top launch for a horror pic ever in 17 markets including Spain, Poland, Norway, Brazil, Colombia and Chile. And, the biggest WB opening weekend ever in India.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn Imax, the global bow was $14.3M including $4.9M from overseas. The worldwide opening is the biggest for the Conjuring franchise as well as the 2nd\u00a0biggest opening weekend ever for a horror film, behind Alien: Romulus.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tRegionally, Last Rites comfortably had the best opening weekend for the Conjuring Universe in Europe, and was the 3rd\u00a0biggest horror opening weekend ever, in like-for-likes there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn Latin America, the movie is the biggest horror opening weekend of all time and the 3rd\u00a0best for WB ever, behind Barbie and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn Asia, Last Rites had the biggest opening of the Conjuring Universe;\u00a0 notably dominating box office in Indonesia (83% market share) and Philippines (91% market share).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThere are a further 10 markets to release next week, including France and the Middle East. Japan will be the last market to open on October 17.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHere are the Top 5 debuts: <strong>Mexico<\/strong> ($13.3M), <strong>UK<\/strong> ($8.8M), <strong>Brazil<\/strong> ($7.7M), <strong>India<\/strong> ($6.7M) and <strong>Indonesia<\/strong> ($5.6M).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn holdover play, Universal\/DreamWorks Animation\u2019s The Bad Guys 2 is approaching the $200M mark worldwide. On a staggered rollout, the sequel added <strong>$5.9M<\/strong> this weekend, taking the offshore running cume to <strong>$113.3M<\/strong> across 77 markets, and global to <strong>$191M<\/strong>. Australia releases on September 18.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Top 5 offshore markets to date are as follows: <strong>China<\/strong> ($25.1M), <strong>UK<\/strong> ($16.8M), <strong>France<\/strong> ($11.1M), <strong>Spain<\/strong> ($7.8M) and <strong>Mexico<\/strong> ($6.1M).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn its sophomore frame, Searchlight\/Disney\u2019s The Roses added <strong>$5.8M<\/strong> from 44 material overseas markets. This lifts the offshore cume to <strong>$20M<\/strong> and worldwide to <strong>$32.3M<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe international drop was 45% while the black comedy was No. 2 in the UK, Netherlands and Portugal.
