Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy is currently one of the team\u2019s hottest hitters, a stark contrast from the first month and a half of the season where he struggled to produce. <\/p>\n

Many fans were beginning to lose faith in Muncy, but the Dodgers stood by the 34-year-old and trusted his proven track record would eventually return. <\/p>\n Muncy is now hitting .250 with 12 home runs, 51 RBIs, and a .829 OPS on the season. Since May 31<\/a>, Muncy has recorded three games with six-plus RBIs, three multi-home run games, two games with seven-plus RBIs, two games with multiple three-plus run homers, and two grand slams.<\/p>\n While there\u2019s no guarantee the Dodgers won\u2019t trade for a third baseman this summer, Muncy revealed the rumors about his future don\u2019t bother him. <\/p>\n \u201cNo. At this point in my career, no. If I was younger, it definitely would be in my head,\u201d he said to The Orange County Register\u2019s Bill Plunkett<\/a>. \u201cAt this point, I\u2019ve accomplished a lot. I\u2019ve been able to do almost all of it in a Dodgers uniform and that\u2019s something that\u2019s very special to me. Obviously I\u2019ve made it very clear I want to retire as a Dodger. But that\u2019s not always in your hands. Sometimes you can play as good as you possibly can but it\u2019s just time. When it\u2019s time, it\u2019s time.
