{"id":209091,"date":"2025-09-08T02:18:15","date_gmt":"2025-09-08T02:18:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/209091\/"},"modified":"2025-09-08T02:18:15","modified_gmt":"2025-09-08T02:18:15","slug":"social-security-to-make-payments-on-wednesday-september-10-this-is-whos-receiving-a-check","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/209091\/","title":{"rendered":"Social Security to make payments on Wednesday, September 10: this is who\u2019s receiving a check"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\">Millions of Social Security recipients in the U.S. are <b>in line to get a benefits payment<\/b> in the coming days. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><b>On Wednesday, September 10,<\/b> the U.S.\u2019s Social Security Administration (SSA) is to send out the next batch of checks on its benefits <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.gov\/pubs\/EN-05-10031-2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.gov\/pubs\/EN-05-10031-2025.pdf\">distribution schedule<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Who\u2019s getting a Social Security check on September 10?<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">This Wednesday\u2019s payments will be issued to certain recipients of <b>retirement, disability (SSDI) or survivor benefits<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Of the just under 70 million people who receive retirement, SSDI or survivor benefits from the SSA, <b>most get their money on one of three Wednesdays each month<\/b>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.as.com\/latest_news\/social-security-is-issuing-payments-of-2000-on-ave-today-wednesday-aug-13-find-out-who-gets-one-n\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/en.as.com\/latest_news\/social-security-is-issuing-payments-of-2000-on-ave-today-wednesday-aug-13-find-out-who-gets-one-n\/\">beginning on the second Wednesday<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">A recipient\u2019s designated Wednesday <b>is determined by the date of birth<\/b> <b>of the worker<\/b> whose Social Security taxes have accumulated the benefits entitlement. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">For example, if you receive retirement pay based on your own work record, your birthday is used. If you claim retirement benefits based on a spouse or parent\u2019s employment history, <b>the spouse or parent\u2019s date of birth is used<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">On September 10, the SSA is to distribute payments to beneficiaries whose date of birth (or relevant family member\u2019s date of birth)<b> falls between the first and the 10th<\/b> <b>of each month<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Weds. payment schedule - Sep. 2025:\" href=\"\" rel=\"\">Weds. payment schedule &#8211; Sep. 2025:<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Weds., Sep. 10:\u00a0<strong>Recipients born on 1st to 10th<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Weds., Sep. 17: <strong>Recipients born on 11th to 20th<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Weds., Sep. 24: <strong>Recipients born on 21st to 31st<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Who doesn\u2019t get their benefits on the second, third or fourth Wednesday? <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Certain long-term Social Security beneficiaries<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\">If you began claiming retirement benefits, SSDI or survivor pay before May 1997, your check typically goes out<b> on the third of each month<\/b>, irrespective of your date of birth.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">These long-term beneficiaries <b>were therefore scheduled to be paid on Wednesday this week<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><b>Recipients of <\/b>Supplemental Security Income (SSI) &#8211; a separate SSA program for low-income individuals who are over 65 or have a disability &#8211; are normally paid<b> on the first of each month<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">However, as September began on a federal holiday, <b>this month\u2019s SSI payment date was brought forward<\/b> to the nearest working day, which was Friday, August 29.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Dual beneficiaries (SSI + regular Social Security)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\">Just over 2.5 million people in the U.S. receive <b>both SSI and one of the SSA\u2019s retirement, SSDI or survivor benefits<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">These recipients normally get <b>the former on the first of each month and the latter on the third<\/b>.
