Law enforcement officials say that officers ran toward gunfire at around 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 12 on Ocean Avenue and discovered two men involved in a shootout.<\/p>\n
Video shows who police say are 22-year-old Edynesson Bauduy and 35-year-old Aaron Richard get into some sort of dispute before shooting at each other. <\/p>\n
Officers say when they approached Bauduy he was still shooting at Richard who was running away.<\/p>\n
The video then shows officers shoot Bauduy. He was treated at the hospital for his injuries and later arrested.<\/p>\n
News 12 previously reported that they had both been released from prison earlier this year – Bauduy in June and Richard in April. Both Baduy and Richard are facing federal firearm charges.<\/p>\n
News 12 spoke with Flatbush residents who wanted to remain anonymous about the police-involved shootings so far this year.<\/p>\n
“I think it’s sad we have to live in a neighborhood where crime is still being committed.
