PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A Wingstop employee was shot by a customer after an argument in Overbrook on Sunday evening, according to Philadelphia Police.<\/p>\n

Police say the employee at the City Avenue restaurant suffered a graze wound and refused transport to the hospital.<\/p>\n

According to police, around 5:20 p.m, some customers got into an argument with a 43-year-old employee.<\/p>\n

Police told 6abc that the customers threw a bottle at the employee. Then as the customers were leaving, authorities say one of them fired a shot, which grazed the employee in her abdomen.<\/p>\n

“She was not transported to the hospital, but she did positively ID a person that was in the store and a group of males,and they were stopped up the street. We’re also looking for a white Toyota Avalon occupied by two males that were also involved at the time,” explained Inspector Michael Gormley.<\/p>\n

“It’s a tragic thing when somebody is going to work, raise a family, pay some bills, and they get hurt like that,” Gormley continued.<\/p>\n
