{"id":209977,"date":"2025-09-08T10:37:15","date_gmt":"2025-09-08T10:37:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/209977\/"},"modified":"2025-09-08T10:37:15","modified_gmt":"2025-09-08T10:37:15","slug":"alleged-teen-shooter-captured-in-new-york-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/209977\/","title":{"rendered":"Alleged teen shooter captured in New York City"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MIDDLETOWN \u2013 The 16-year-old youth believed to have shot a 17-year-old at a Middletown barber shop last Wednesday, has been captured by New York City Police and turned over to Middletown law enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler said this case is systemic of a larger problem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is part of the larger problem of juveniles \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nycourts.gov\/courthelp\/Criminal\/RTA.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">raise the age (state law),<\/a> where this dispute is carrying over the course of years and because the involved individuals are 16, 17 years old, they are protected by raise the age, and we don\u2019t have the resources necessary in handling raise the age cases.
