\n\tYungblud,<\/a> Aerosmith\u2019s<\/a> Steven Tyler <\/a>and Joe Perry<\/a>, and Extreme\u2019s<\/a> Nuno Bettencourt led an Ozzy Osbourne<\/a> tribute performance on Sunday (Sept. 7) at the 2025 MTV VMAs<\/a>, following the Black Sabbath rocker\u2019s death<\/a> in July.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe tribute was introduced by Osbourne\u2019s son Jack, and his family. Yungblud hit the stage wearing a golden cross chain gifted to him by Ozzy, and he proceeded to pay homage to the rock legend with a frenzied performance of Osbourne\u2019s 1980 solo debut single, \u201cCrazy Train.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tYungblud threw on a fur jacket for Black Sabbath\u2019s heartbreaking \u201cChanges,\u201d before Steven Tyler and Joe Perry joined him for \u201cMama, I\u2019m Coming Home,\u201d which became Osbourne\u2019s lone top 40 solo single on the Billboard Hot 100 <\/a>(which peaked No. 28). \u201cOzzy forever, man,\u201d Yungblud shouted to close out the moving tribute.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Aerosmith rockers and Yungblud were all part of what was Ozzy Osbourne\u2019s final concert in Birmingham back in July, which took place about just weeks prior to the iconic rocker\u2019s passing.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cGood old rock n\u2019 roll in the name of the king, man,\u201d Yungblud told Billboard o<\/a>n the VMAs red carpet ahead of the show. He listed \u201cBeliever\u201d among his favorite Ozzy songs, and Tribute, which was a 1987 live album recorded with Randy Rhoads, as his favorite album from the late metal icon.<\/p>\n

\n\tOzzy Osbourne passed away on July 22 at the age of 76. A death certificate<\/a> cited cardiac arrest and coronary artery disease among the causes of death. In his later years, the rocker had been open about undergoing treatment for Parkinson\u2019s and spinal damage.<\/p>\n
