He was my mirror, my blood, my DNA,&#8221; he wrote.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"EmphasisedText_quote__TE6kn\"><p>&#8220;Mercury was my life, my right hand man. Words cannot describe the bond we had together growing up.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Mike said his brother lived life with &#8220;passion&#8221; and that he would be remembered as &#8220;the life at every party&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;Tell your loved one&#8217;s that you love them. (Supplied: Toby Martin)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">A lone surfer has been the first person to venture into the ocean where Saturday&#8217;s fatal shark attack happened.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">He took to the waves at Long Reef beach at Dee Why about 5pm on Tuesday, just before dusk.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Dee Why Beach has remained closed since the weekend, with inspectors from Northern Beaches Council to make a decision on Tuesday morning on whether it will reopen, after consulting Department of Primary Industries officers and Surf Life Saving NSW.<\/p>\n<p>White shark spotted off Manly Beach<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">The tribute comes after a tagged white shark was spotted off Manly Beach 48 hours after Mr Psillakis&#8217;s death.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">A shark tag sensor went off at 10.51am on Monday at the North Steyne receiver, according to the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development&#8217;s (DPIRD) Shark Smart service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">The beach alarm system was then activated at Manly.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Sydney's Manly Beach\" class=\"Image_image__5tFYM ContentImage_image__DQ_cq\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/670d793ce1b442260238f0d3a6309835\" loading=\"lazy\" data-component=\"Image\" data-lazy=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"Typography_base__sj2RP FigureCaption_text__zDxQ5 Typography_sizeMobile12__w_FPC Typography_lineHeightMobile20___U7Vr Typography_regular__WeIG6 Typography_colourInherit__dfnUx\" data-component=\"Typography\">Sydney&#8217;s Manly Beach on Saturday, when swimmers were ordered to leave the water after a shark attacked a man in Dee Why.
