SpaceX says it will use the spectrum to create the \u201cnext generation\u201d of Starlink\u2019s cellular satellite service, which customers of the EchoStar-owned Boost Mobile will gain access to as part of the deal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">In May, FCC Chair Brendan Carr <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/679023\/dish-network-echostar-interest-payments-tv-satellite-fcc-investigation-spacex\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">opened a probe<\/a> into EchoStar\u2019s 5G expansion after receiving a complaint from SpaceX, which claimed the company \u201cbarely uses\u201d its spectrum for satellite connectivity.
