has been confirmed, with WTA number one Aryna Sabalenka defending her title.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/jannik-sinners-coach-gives-the-key-reason-why-aryna-sabalenka-was-able-to-beat-amanda-anisimova-in-the-us-open-final\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sabalenka was composed against Amanda Anisimova<\/a>, who she defeated 6-3, 7-6(7-3) at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.<\/p>\n<p>The top-seeded <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wta\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WTA<\/a> star also won the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/us-open\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">US Open<\/a> in 2024, with two of her four Grand Slam titles having now arrived at Flushing Meadows.<\/p>\n<p>Sabalenka defeated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/jessica-pegula\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jessica Pegula<\/a> this time last year, and has once more played the role of the villain against another American.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/tearful-amanda-anisimova-sends-classy-message-to-aryna-sabalenka-after-us-open-final-you-are-so-incredible\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Anisimova thanked the US Open fans<\/a> after her run came to a heartbreaking end, with her search for a maiden Grand Slam title now target=\"_blank\">Anisimova<\/a> is, however, set to receive a significant rankings boost following her run to the final.<\/p>\n<p>Champion Sabalenka will retain her number one spot in the WTA ninth to fourth, breaking the WTA top five for the first time in her career.<\/p>\n<p>Mirra Andreeva and Madison Keys are also non-movers in fifth and sixth respectively, but Pegula will drop three places to seventh.<\/p>\n<p>Jasmine Paolini is set to remain eighth, while Qinwen Zheng drops two places to ninth and Elena Rybakina stays in fellow American Gauff then lifting the French Open trophy.<\/p>\n<p>Swiatek then emerged victorious at Wimbledon, with Sabalenka joining her fellow WTA champions with her success in New York.<\/p>\n<p>There is, however, the significant matter of the WTA Finals still to come, which takes place in Riyadh in
