In researching skin health, the company is using technology to understand the biological root causes of aging at the cellular, molecular and tissue levels. <\/p>\n<p>This work led to the development the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loreal.com\/en\/articles\/science-and-technology\/cell-bio-print\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Lancome Cell Bioprint<\/a>, a diagnostic device that Hieronimus called \u201ca small lab on a chip.\u201d The device determines skin biological age and predicts potential skin issues \u201cin just five minutes,\u201d Hieronimus said.<\/p>\n<p>AI is also central to how L\u2019Or\u00e9al is reimagining personalized consumer engagement. Hieronimus highlighted the company\u2019s agentic AI-powered beauty assistant, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lorealparisusa.com\/beauty-genius-ai-beauty-virtual-assistant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Beauty Genius<\/a>, which provides tailored advice, hyper-personalized product recommendations and support.<\/p>\n<p>Beauty Genius \u201cis powered by agentic AI. It\u2019s available 24\/7 online and coming soon on WhatsApp,\u201d he said. \u201cIt already racked up over 400,000 conversations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In eCommerce, the company launched Noli, an AI-powered multi-brand beauty shopping startup. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s reinvented how people discover and shop beauty products,\u201d Hieronimus said, noting that 85% of users shop with \u201cmore confidence\u201d through the platform.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Such innovations should drive traffic to retailers with physical stores. According to a <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pymnts.com\/study_posts\/health-and-beauty-products-draw-retail-shoppers-into-brick-and-mortar-stores\/#second_title\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">PYMNTS Intelligence report<\/a>, shopping for beauty and health products is the top reason why consumers go into bricks-and-mortar stores rather than shopping online. <\/p>\n<p>Nearly 37% of consumers made an in-person purchase in December. Across generations, health and beauty products were also the top purchase category across all product lines, the report said.
