{"id":211523,"date":"2025-09-09T00:59:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-09T00:59:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/211523\/"},"modified":"2025-09-09T00:59:08","modified_gmt":"2025-09-09T00:59:08","slug":"update-ny-17-east-reopened-near-nichols-after-serious-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/211523\/","title":{"rendered":"Update NY 17 east reopened near Nichols after serious crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Update<\/strong>: State Route 17 has reopened. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On September 8, 2025, shortly after 4:30 a.m., New York State Police at Owego were dispatched by the Tioga County 911 Center to a crash involving a passenger vehicle and tractor trailer on State Route 17 east in the town of Nichols. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The investigation is still in its preliminary stages. \u00a0Both a passenger car and a tractor trailer were traveling east on State Route 17 when the passenger car was rear-ended by the tractor trailer.
