Former Spur Kawhi Leonard is catching strays from none other than the San Antonio Zoo.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A 30-second video tweeted out by the nationally recognized zoological park skewered the NBA player over his recent scandal involving an allegedly fraudulent endorsement deal.<\/p>\n

During the clip, a camera guy asks construction workers planting trees at the zoo\u2019s soon-to-open Congo Falls exhibit whether they\u2019ve seen Kawhi. The cameraman also asks a couple of workers if they\u2019ve seen either Leonard\u2019s controversial advisor and uncle, Dennis Robertson, or Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cCase closed,\u201d the video\u2019s caption concludes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On his podcast last week, former ESPN analyst turned independent reporter Pablo Torre laid out allegations that Leonard accepted $28 million through a fraudulent endorsement deal<\/a> that involves a now-defunct tree planting company called Aspiration.<\/p>\n

Clippers owner Ballmer was heavily invested in Aspiration, according to news reports. What\u2019s more, Torre reported that former employees maintain the entire deal was so the team could circumnavigate the NBA\u2019s salary cap.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Torre also asserted that Leonard never did any promotional branding for Aspiration, equating the deal to nothing more than a \u201cno-show\u201d job.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Spurs fans have long held grievances against Leonard after his unceremonious departure from San Antonio in 2018. Although some fans of the Silver and Black have moved on, the San Antonio Zoo apparently still has a bone to pick. \u00a0<\/p>\n

The viral clip has garnered more than 20,000 views as of press time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, user @TurnAndBurn210 commented, \u201cThis is amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Athletic reported over the weekend that the NBA has hired a law firm <\/a>to investigate Leonard\u2019s deal with the Clippers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Clippers could face a fine of up to $45 million, loss of a first-round pick, and the possibility of being forced to void Leonard\u2019s contract if the allegations of salary cap circumvention prove true, according to league rules.\u00a0<\/p>\n
