PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Twenty people are looking for a new place to stay after a fire tore through a west Phoenix apartment complex on Monday night.<\/p>\n

The fire broke out around 8 p.m. at a complex near 70th Avenue and Indian School Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"2020 people were displaced.(Arizona’s Family)<\/p>\n

Firefighters said when they got to the scene, they were met with heavy smoke and fire from the first and second floors of an apartment.<\/p>\n

Everyone made it out safely. No firefighters were hurt.<\/p>\n

Fire crews said one apartment had fire damage while multiple apartments had smoke damage.<\/p>\n

The Red Cross and the fire department\u2019s community assistance team is helping the 20 people affected.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear what sparked the flames.<\/p>\n
