A Toronto man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a woman in the city\u2019s High Park area late last week.<\/p>\n
On Sept. 5, just before 6 p.m., police said they were called to the area of Glenlake and High Park avenues, north of Bloor Street West, for a medical call.<\/p>\n
There, officers found a woman with critical injuries inside a vehicle.<\/p>\n
The victim, identified by police as 21-year-old Serenity Brown, of Toronto, was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased. She is the city\u2019s 30th murder victim of the year.<\/p>\n
On Monday, Trinel Thornhill, 48, also of Toronto, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He is scheduled to appear in bail court on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n
A Toronto police media officer has confirmed to CTV News Toronto that the accused and the victim were \u201cknown to one another,\u201d but could not confirm the extent of their relationship.<\/p>\n
