The\u00a0Super Bowl<\/a>-champion\u00a0Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> have traded for running back Tank Bigsby from the Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The extra reinforcement has come at the cost of 2026 fifth and sixth-round picks that have gone to Jacksonville, according to multiple reports.<\/p>\n

Bigsby, 23, only recorded five carries in Sunday’s win over Carolina Panthers<\/a> on a day where No. 1 running back Travis Etienne Jr. gained 143 rushing yards.<\/p>\n

According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport<\/a>, that display made the deal ‘palpable’ for the Jaguars, who also have rookie\u00a0Bhayshul Tuten in the backfield.<\/p>\n

Bigsby will provide depth in Philly behind Saquon Barkley<\/a>, who logged a league-high 345 rushing attempts last season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Barkley finished his team’s opening 24-20 win over Dallas with 18 carries for 60 yards and a touchdown.<\/p>\n

The Jaguars have traded Tank Bigsby to the Eagles for a pair of late-round picks<\/p>\n

Bigsby played sparingly against the Panthers this weekend as he got just five carries<\/p>\n

Backups AJ Dillon and Will Shipley also had three carries each, while quarterback Jalen Hurts ran the ball 14 times.<\/p>\n

In addition to his rushing abilities, the Eagles also targeted Bigsby for his ability to return kicks, Rapoport’s NFL Network colleague\u00a0Mike Garafolo said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bigsby played a sizable role for the Jaguars in 2024 as he rushed for 766 yards and seven touchdowns.<\/p>\n

And with a new head coach in Jacksonville in Liam Coen, there was even buzz that Bigsby could usurp Etienne for the starting job.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bigsby is set to make his Philly debut this Sunday in a Super Bowl LIX rematch against the Chiefs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Jaguars, meanwhile, will look to move to 2-0 as they face the Bengals.\u00a0<\/p>\n
