Options range from classic flavors like chocolate chip, confetti and s\u2019mores to trendier ones made with Dubai chocolate or Mike\u2019s Hot Honey.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Chip City started in Queens in 2017, in a cramped storefront where customers would wait in line after being tempted by the latest flavor featured on Instagram. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The company\u2019s co-founders have grown the company to 50 addresses in the United States, from New York to New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois, Florida and more. They\u2019re partnering with Dallasite Igor Stevovic to grow the business in Texas. He\u2019s their first and only franchisee. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">\u201cWe have hundreds of inquiries in our inbox for franchising, and we have only signed one franchise deal,\u201d Phillips said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Stevovic and his wife Nikoleta Plavsic lived most of their life in Italy. Stevovic worked in supply chain management for McDonald\u2019s in Italy and France, then grew Raising Cane\u2019s and Shake Shack across the Middle East. They\u2019re now raising kids in Dallas. And, indeed, after desserts like frozen yogurt and cupcakes had their heyday in the past two decades in Dallas, cookie shops like Crumbl, Insomnia and Dirty Dough are growing quickly now.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">\u201cWe realized quickly that we had a product that translated well on social media, and we really leveraged it,\u201d Phillips said of Chip City.<\/p>\n<p>Big boom in Texas, on the way to 500 stores<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">After Texas\u2019 first Chip City Cookies opens Sept. 19 Phillips said the company will assess its footprint in Texas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">He believes Texas can sustain \u201cnorth of 40\u2033 locations.
