And Fort Worth&#8217;s own <strong>Alice Walton <\/strong>is leading the charge as the wealthiest woman in America, according to the new Forbes 400.<\/p>\n<p>Walmart heiress Walton, 75, simultaneously holds the title as the <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/news\/city-life\/alice-walton-richest-woman-forbes\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">richest woman in the world<\/a> in 2025. She&#8217;s the 15th wealthiest person in the U.S., and the third richest Texan, Forbes says.<\/p>\n<p>The annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/forbes-400\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Forbes 400<\/a> list is a definitive ranking of the wealthiest Americans, using interviews, financial data, and documentation provided by billionaires and their companies.<\/p>\n<p>The publication estimates Walton&#8217;s net worth at $106 billion (up from <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/news\/city-life\/forbes-400-billionaires-fort-worth\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">$89.2 billion<\/a> last year) and proclaims her as the first female centibillionaire (a person with a 12-digit fortune) in America. Now that&#8217;s wealth.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It\u2019s been a year unlike any we\u2019ve seen in the four decades we\u2019ve tracked America\u2019s billionaire class,\u201d said Forbes senior editor <strong\/>Chase Peterson-Withorn in a press release. &#8220;The super-rich at the very top are richer than ever \u2014 and between the White House and the booming stock market, they\u2019re as powerful as they\u2019ve ever been.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Walton is the only daughter of late Walmart founder Sam Walton, though she is currently prioritizing her <a href=\"https:\/\/crystalbridges.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art<\/a> and the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine in her native Bentonville, Arkansas. Forbes still lists her residence as Fort Worth.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In July, the heiress welcomed the inaugural class of 48 four-year MD students to her new Alice L. Musk, 54, saw his net worth skyrocket to $428 billion this year, or $184 billion more than his 2024 net worth. He claimed the No. 1 spot for the fourth time.<\/p>\n<p>New to the list is biotech billionaire <strong>David Dean Halbert<\/strong> <strong\/>of Colleyville. Halbert, 69, earned his billionaire status after his diagnostics firm, Caris Life Sciences, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/amyfeldman\/2025\/06\/18\/new-biotech-billionaire-minted-in-caris-life-sciences-ipo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">went public<\/a> on the Nasdaq in June. Forbes estimates his net worth at $4.9 billion.<\/p>\n<p> Here&#8217;s how the rest of Dallas-Fort Worth&#8217;s billionaires fared on this year&#8217;s list: <\/p>\n<ul class=\"ee-ul\">\n<li>Koch, Inc. stakeholder Elaine Marshall and her family rank No. 32 nationally with an estimated net worth of $28.3 billion. Last year: $24.5 billion.<\/li>\n<li>Endeavor Energy Resources chairman <strong>Lyndal Stephens Greth<\/strong> and her family rank No. 35 nationwide with an estimated net worth of $27.4 billion. Last year: $32.3 billion.<\/li>\n<li>Dallas Cowboys owner <strong>Jerry Jones<\/strong> of Dallas sits at No. 50 in the U.S. with an estimated net worth of $19.6 billion. Last year: $15.2 billion.<\/li>\n<li>Money manager<strong> Ken Fisher<\/strong> of Dallas ranks 86th nationally (for the second consecutive year) with an estimated net worth of $13.2 billion. Last year: $3.7 billion and $3.5 billion, respectively.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Missing from the 2025 list is <strong>David Bonderman<\/strong> <strong\/>of Fort Worth, who died in December 2024.
