Pop star Lady Gaga<\/a> is treating her North Texas little monsters to her \u201cMayhem Ball Tour,\u201d which has been extended to include new local dates. <\/p>\n

The singer, known as a provocateur with grandiose performances and costumes, will perform at Fort Worth\u2019s Dickies Arena on Feb. 28 and March 1. <\/p>\n

She has been touring in support of Mayhem, her latest studio album, since July 2024. The original North American tour traveled to Las Vegas, New York City and Miami, among other cities, but not to Texas. <\/p>\n

In addition to her Fort Worth dates, the singer will touch down in Austin at the Moody Center for two nights on March 8 and 9. <\/p>\n

After the announcement Tuesday, some fans took to social media to express their glee. \u201cGood morning everyone Lady Gaga is coming to Texas,\u201d one user wrote in all caps on X. Another user wrote of the tour that it was just the \u201cgood news\u201d they needed today. <\/p>\n

On Sunday, Gaga won<\/a> artist of the year at the annual MTV Video Music Awards. <\/p>\n

\u201cBeing an artist is a discipline, a craft meant for reaching into someone\u2019s heart where it grows its roots and reminding them to dream,\u201d she said in her acceptance speech. \u201cBeing an artist is a responsibility to make the audience smile, dance, cry \u2014 release at any turn. It is a method of building understanding and celebrating community.\u201d <\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI hope as you navigate through the mayhem of daily life you are reminded of the importance of the art of your life. That you can count on yourself and your simple skills to keep you whole.\u201d <\/p>\n

Gaga last swung<\/a> through North Texas with an Arlington concert at Globe Life Field in 2022 in support of her 2020 album Chromatica, whose tour had been postponed<\/a> due to the COVID-19 pandemic. <\/p>\n
