{"id":21395,"date":"2025-06-28T09:00:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-28T09:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/21395\/"},"modified":"2025-06-28T09:00:10","modified_gmt":"2025-06-28T09:00:10","slug":"snapped-reader-spots-dining-moose","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/21395\/","title":{"rendered":"SNAPPED: Reader spots dining moose"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>JACKSON, Wyo. \u2014 Buckrail reader Adam Graham shared his son Nick\u2019s photo of a moose munching on some foliage near the Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club on Thursday, June 19.<\/p>\n<p>Graham labeled the closeup photo capturing the moose reaching up to eat some leaves,  \u201cHappy Moose dining out.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was encouraged to send this in by Kevin Getz of Belle Shops,\u201d Graham said. \u201cHe thought the facial expression and angle made for a fun photo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The moose\u2019s fuzzy antlers appear soft to the touch in the photo. According to Yellowstone National Park, <a href=\"https:\/\/buckrail.com\/snapped-moose-sports-velvet-paddles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">moose antlers grow<\/a> from April or May until August. The velvet-like skin contains a network of veins that supply blood and nutrients for antler growth.\u00a0During the <a href=\"https:\/\/buckrail.com\/bugles-and-bellows-fall-rut-underway\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">fall rut or mating season<\/a>, bull moose will use their fully developed antlers to spar with other males in competition<strong> <\/strong>for the female\u2019s attention.  <\/p>\n<p>We love to see readers\u2019 photos of local happenings.
