Do you want to be the very best like no one ever was? Then you need to make plans for the Pok\u00e9mon GO City Safari<\/a> coming to Vancouver on Saturday, Sept. 27 and Sunday, Sept. 28.<\/p>\n

Thousands of trainers from across Metro Vancouver are expected to take part in the city-wide event, with themed encounters, real-world activities, and in-game activations.<\/p>\n

The Pok\u00e9mon GO City Safari also marks the first time that the developer Niantic is hosting the worldwide event in Canada.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether you\u2019re a resident of Vancouver or a first-time visitor, your Pok\u00e9mon GO City Safari will take you across the city in an all-new way,\u201d the event description reads online.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom historic landmarks to local favourites, get ready for a taste of the city with Pok\u00e9mon GO by your side.\u201d<\/p>\n

The popular augmented reality (AR) mobile game was released in 2016 and instantly won over Pok\u00e9mon fans around Vancouver and across the globe.<\/p>\n

Gamers were glued to their cellphones as they attempted to capture Mewtwos, Drowzees, and even the occasional Rhydon. Pok\u00e9mon GO still has an active player base of millions daily.<\/p>\n

Vancouver\u2019s Pok\u00e9mon GO City Safari will also feature the North American debut of GO Stamp Rally, which will see players explore the city\u2019s landmarks and locations to collect in-game stamps.<\/p>\n

Other highlights for participating trainers include encountering Eevee wearing an explorer hat, a chance to encounter Mudbray, the Donkey Pok\u00e9mon, and several in-game bonuses and rewards between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on your ticketed day, anywhere within the City Safari location.<\/p>\n
