T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach are teasing plans to expand their family via adoption<\/p>\n
Holmes said the couple\u2019s conversations around having children together have been more frequent as of late, though it\u2019s normally him who brings up the topic.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe response is the one you all just heard,\u201d he said on Monday\u2019s episode of their\u00a0\u201cAmy & T.J.\u201d\u00a0podcast<\/a>. \u201cShe laughs at me. She\u2019s laughing at me.\u201d<\/p>\n T.J. Holmes teased plans for he and Amy Robach to expand their family via adoption. ajrobach\/Instagram<\/p>\n \u201cWe have talked more lately about having kids. We have talked more lately about the idea of even adopting a child,\u201d he said on Monday. ajrobach\/Instagram<\/p>\n \u201cI need to write in to my own damn column to get some advice about what to do when the person you\u2019re with \u2014 who is maybe at an advanced baby-making age \u2014 laughs every time you bring up the possibility of kids,\u201d he quipped.<\/p>\n Robach, 52, explained that the reason her response was to laugh was due to the fact that she was told she was \u201cout of the baby making business\u201d following her breast cancer diagnosis<\/a> in 2013. She entered remission in 2014.<\/p>\n \u201cListen that was devastating to hear,\u201d she recalled. \u201cI can laugh now because that ship has sailed so long ago. So that\u2019s why I do chuckle, because yes, that was a painful thing to hear at 40. But I have come to peace with it and am very happy to have had two children.\u201d<\/p>\n Robach\u2019s response was to laugh, which Holmes said was her usual response whenever he brought up having kids together. ajrobach\/Instagram<\/p>\n She explained that the reason she laughs is because she was told that hat she was \u201cout of the baby making business\u201d following her cancer diagnosis in 2013. ajrobach\/Instagram<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m saying this genuinely \u2014 my girls have now gone off \u2014 but to have Sabine [Holmes\u2019 12-year-old daughter] around is joy. I absolutely, totally appreciate and actually really look forward to and love having that childlike, that sweetness around. It\u2019s awesome.\u201d<\/p>\n The duo each have children from previous marriages. Robach shares daughters Ava, 22, and Annalise, 19, with her first husband, Tim McIntosh. And yes, those units sometimes come from other pieces and places coming together, but you can have them.\u201d<\/p>\n Robach agreed that there is a \u201cnatural desire\u201d for that \u201cunit\u201d that comes with sharing a child with your partner, but did not add any more about her feelings on potentially adopting.<\/p>\n The former \u201cGood Morning America\u201d hosts were first romantically linked in November 2022 when they were accused of having a months-long affair <\/a>behind their respective partners\u2019 backs.
