Dimon said that most consumers, depending on their income, are still employed and spending money, but explained that \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of different factors in the economy right now.\u201d On top of the revision, August\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tipranks.com\/calendars\/economic\/non-farm-payrolls-5600\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">nonfarm payrolls<\/a> showed just 22,000 job additions, below the consensus estimate of 75,000.<\/p>\n<p>Dimon also pointed to consumer weakness beginning to appear, which was visible in August\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tipranks.com\/calendars\/economic\/michigan-consumer-sentiment-prel-6035\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Index of Consumer Sentiment<\/a> survey reading of 58.2 that fell from 61.7 in July.
