PHOENIX \u2014 Two dogs are dead after a north Phoenix house fire that occurred Friday morning, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Firefighters were dispatched to the area of Seventh Street and Beardsley Road<\/a> around 8 a.m. for reports of an unknown fire, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.<\/p>\n

When crews arrived on the scene, they saw light smoke coming from the second story of a two-story house.<\/p>\n

The house was clear of any occupants but there were two dogs found inside the house. Firefighters attempted to resuscitate the dogs using a Fido bag but their efforts were unsuccessful.<\/p>\n

The cause of the fire is unknown. An investigation is underway.<\/p>\n

Two resident were displaced by the fire. Personnel with the city\u2019s Community Assistance Program<\/a> were dispatched to help with the displaced couple\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n
