{"id":215043,"date":"2025-09-10T08:34:22","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T08:34:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/215043\/"},"modified":"2025-09-10T08:34:22","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T08:34:22","slug":"frances-new-pm-lecornu-faces-baptism-of-fire-with-nationwide-protests-politico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/215043\/","title":{"rendered":"France\u2019s new PM Lecornu faces baptism of fire with nationwide protests \u2013 POLITICO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While comparisons have been drawn between \u201cBlock Everything\u201d and the Yellow Jackets, an analysis by the Jean Jaur\u00e8s Foundation\u00a0concluded that the two movements are \u201cprofoundly different,\u201d with Wednesday\u2019s plans driven in large part by the radical left.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday\u2019s campaign, however, is supported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tf1info.fr\/politique\/bloquons-tout-sondage-pres-d-un-francais-sur-deux-soutient-le-mouvement-du-10-septembre-2393090.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">46 percent of the French<\/a>, according to a recent survey by pollster Ipsos.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/GettyImages-2234310704-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7133583\"  \/>The shutdown campaign began gaining steam after outgoing Prime Minister Fran\u00e7ois Bayrou unveiled his plans to squeeze the 2026 French budget by \u20ac43.8 billion in July. | Remon Haazen\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Unlike the Yellow Jackets, which began online in opposition to a fuel tax hike before entering the mainstream and bringing the country to a standstill, the goal of the \u201cBlock Everything\u201d crusade is far more nebulous.
