One person was killed Wednesday in a two-vehicle collision near the Los Angeles-Glendale border near Griffith Park.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the transition road from the westbound 134 Freeway to the northbound 5 Freeway at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, where they found a BMW sedan and a gray sedan blocking several lanes of the transition road, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.<\/p>\n
The victim, whose name, age and gender is not immediately known, was pronounced dead at the scene, Garcia said.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said the victim who died in the crash was trapped inside the car and fire personnel were unable to rescue them in time. <\/p>\n
A Siglert was issued for the closure of all lanes of the transition road from the 134 to the 5 freeways for two hours while the CHP investigated the cause of the collision.
