{"id":215730,"date":"2025-09-10T14:44:14","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T14:44:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/215730\/"},"modified":"2025-09-10T14:44:14","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T14:44:14","slug":"ios-26-release-date-confirmed-will-your-iphone-get-next-weeks-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/215730\/","title":{"rendered":"iOS 26 Release Date Confirmed: Will Your iPhone Get Next Week&#8217;s Update?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Don&#8217;t miss out on our latest stories. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/preferences\/source?q=pcmag.com\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"(Opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Add PCMag<\/a> as a preferred source on Google.<\/p>\n<p>Apple\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/everything-apple-announced-at-its-sept-9-iphone-17-event\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">iPhone 17 launch event<\/a> featured eight new gadgets, including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/iphone-air-17-pro-is-here-apple-sept-2025-event\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">four new iPhones<\/a>, three\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/apple-watch-series-11-se-3-ultra-3-refresh-blood-pressure-sept-2025-event\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">new smartwatches<\/a>, and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/airpods-pro-3-anc-heart-rate-monitor-live-translation-apple-event-2025\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">AirPods Pro 3<\/a>\u00a0earbuds. However, if you&#8217;re not buying anything new, Apple also\u00a0announced release dates for its upcoming software updates.<\/p>\n<p>Those with an iPhone 11 or later can download iOS 26 on Monday, Sept. 15, alongside\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/opinions\/ipados-26-is-great-for-work-but-these-3-things-might-make-you-miss-macos\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">iPadOS 26<\/a>,\u00a0watchOS 26,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/apples-tahoe-beta-is-here-and-it-might-be-the-best-macos-update-in-years\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">macOS Tahoe 26<\/a>,\u00a0and even visionOS 26.<\/p>\n<p>If Apple follows its normal release schedule, you&#8217;ll probably be able to download iOS 26 around 10 a.m. PT \/ 1 p.m. ET on Monday. However, depending on how many other people have the same idea, you may have to wait a couple of hours in a digital queue.<\/p>\n<p>The new mobile OS will introduce its new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/opinions\/did-liquid-glass-give-us-sneak-peek-at-apple-smart-glasses-wwdc-2025\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Liquid Glass design<\/a>, which has a transparent, layered look for your phone\u2019s interface. In our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/these-5-ios-26-features-make-it-feel-like-i-just-bought-a-new-iphone\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">hands on with the beta<\/a>, we found that, \u201cIt\u2019s a major aesthetic shift from the flatter, more static design seen in recent iOS versions and a welcome addition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s also an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/opinions\/apple-ios-26-photos-app-changes-wwdc-2025\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">incoming redesign for the Photos app<\/a>, a new one-handed mode for the Camera app, more dynamic lock screen options, improvements to Messages, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/wwdc-2025-everything-apple-announced-you-missed-liquid-glass-ios-26\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">many other features<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/opinions\/ipados-26-is-great-for-work-but-these-3-things-might-make-you-miss-macos\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">iPadOS update<\/a> is coming to the iPad Pro M4, iPad Pro 12.9-inch 3rd Gen or later, and the iPad Pro 11-inch 1st Gen or later. It\u2019s also coming to the iPad Air M3 and M2, as well as the iPad Air 3rd Gen or later. For the standard model, it will come to the iPad A16, alongside the iPad 8th Gen or later, and the iPad mini A17 Pro gets the update alongside the iPad mini 5th Gen or later.<\/p>\n<p>For the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/picks\/the-best-apple-watch\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/picks\/the-best-apple-watch\" data-element=\"link-injector\" x-track-ga-click=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Apple Watch<\/a>, things are a little simpler.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/apples-watchos-26-beta-makes-the-cat-pics-on-my-watch-face-even-cuter\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">watchOS 26<\/a>\u00a0will be available on all standard models from the Apple Watch Series 6 and up, the Apple Watch SE 2, and all Apple Watch Ultra models. The 2020 Apple Watch SE will miss out on this upgrade.<\/p>\n<p>        Recommended by Our Editors<\/p>\n<p>For <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/apples-tahoe-beta-is-here-and-it-might-be-the-best-macos-update-in-years\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">macOS 26 Tahoe<\/a>, there are a lot of supported products. Those include the MacBook Air with Apple silicon from 2020 or later, MacBook Pro with Apple silicon from 2020 or later, MacBook Pro 16-inch from 2019, and the MacBook Pro 13-inch from 2020 with four Thunderbolt 3 ports.
