\n\tHold onto your viking helmets and swords, Universal Pictures\u2019 live-action \u201cHow to Train Your Dragon<\/a>\u201d will be available to stream on Peacock<\/a> beginning Oct. 10. The animated trilogy of films will also launch on Oct. 1.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film, which is a live-action remake of the 2010 animated film and adaptation of Cressida Cowell\u2019s children\u2019s book series, follows Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, a young viking who lives on the Isle of Berk, where vikings hunt dragons. After being seen as an outcast by his fellow teenage vikings, Hiccup invents a device to catch the dragon no viking has ever laid eyes on before: the Night Fury. After catching one, Hiccup finds himself face to face with a dragon named Toothless, and their growing friendship and trust begins to change how humans and dragons can co-exist together.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHow to Train Your Dragon\u201d stars Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Gerard Butler, Nick Frost, Gabriel Howell, Bronwyn James, Julian Dennison, Harry Trevaldwyn, Ruth Codd and Andrea Ware. The film was written and directed by Dean DeBlois, who previously directed the animated adaptation. Marc Platt and Adam Siegel served as the film\u2019s producers, alongside DreamWorks Animation.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn its opening weekend, the film debuted with $84.6 million at the box office. Variety\u2019s chief film critic Peter Debruge gave the film a positive review<\/a>, saying that director Dean DeBlois\u2019 \u201cvision serves to bring the whole fantastical story one step closer to reality,\u201d as well as praising Thames and Parker\u2019s performances as Hiccup and Astrid.<\/p>\n
