Stock indexes are near all-time high levels amid persistent concerns over price inflation and mounting worries over job creation.

In his dealings with middle market companies across the U.S., Scharf said that many CEOs support Trump’s efforts to address the country’s trade imbalances with his tariff policies. Even so, the duties are a likely driver of tepid job creation, he said.

“They’re willing to deal with the uncertainty, but they need to react to that,” Scharf said. “So part of that is just being very prudent in how they’re hiring….That certainly seems to be dampening the increase in jobs.”

Wells Fargo CEO Charles Scharf said Wednesday that while corporations and higher-income consumers are thriving, lower income Americans…

[12
259,7789,133,49491,64,81,118293,77,69,79,3346,21279,420,16209,67,132,68,20860
0":"post-216610","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-economy","8":"tag-banks","9":"tag-breaking-news-investing","10":"tag-breaking-news-markets","11":"tag-breakingnewsglobal","12":"tag-business","13":"tag-business-news","14":"tag-charles-scharf","15":"tag-donald-j-trump","16":"tag-donald-trump","17":"tag-economy","18":"tag-investment-strategy","19":"tag-jamie-dimon","20":"tag-jobs","21":"tag-jpmorgan-chase-co","22":"tag-united-states","23":"tag-unitedstates","24":"tag-us","25":"tag-wells-fargo-co
["GET
