After Vittorio Ghirelli, the PRO points leader after the NASCAR GP UK, made the trip to Canada to compete in the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres, NASCAR Canada Series driver Raphael Lessard will make his maiden appearance in the NASCAR Euro Series onboard the #75 Chevrolet Camaro. Lessard will be supported by Rousseau Metal and Festidrag.tv and both brands will feature on the car, which will receive technical assistance from CAAL Racing.

Lessard made his mark not only in his native country Canada, but also in the United States. The 24-year old driver was the 2016 CARS Super Late Model Tour champion, becoming just the second non-American driver to win the title in the CARS Tour. He also won at Talladega in 2020 during his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series stint with Kyle Busch Motorsports.

Lessard currently competes in the NASCAR Canada Series. The upcoming appearance in Oschersleben represents a unique opportunity for the driver from Quebec, who will get the chance to put his road racing skills to test against the best drivers of the official European NASCAR championship in the PRO division.

“I’m definitely not setting my expectations too high for the NASCAR Euro Series race, but I’m really looking forward to seeing the caliber of the competition,” said Lessard. “I think it’s going to be very competitive, especially since I’m used to oval tracks, whereas this year’s NASCAR Euro series is only on road courses. The drivers there are real experts on road courses, so it will be interesting to compare. I can’t wait to see the racing style. Will it be more like Formula 1, GT3, all those categories?”

“For me, it’s a unique opportunity to compare it with NASCAR here. I’m not putting any pressure on myself, but I’m ready to perform. I hope to have a good car and get along well with the team there. Above all, I want to live the experience to the fullest, because you never know what opportunities it might open up in the future. One thing is certain: I see it as the experience of a lifetime, and I’m going to have fun trying to represent Canada well.”

The NASCAR GP Germany will take place on 20-21 September. The protagonists of the 2025 season in PRO and OPEN will start their chase for the championship with double points Playoff rounds at Oschersleben. Fans from all around the world can watch the action from the official EuroNASCAR YouTube channel and several TV channels, with updates from the race weekend also available from the official EuroNASCAR social media accounts.

NASCAR Euro Series PR

The NASCAR GP Germany at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben will feature the second leg of the unique drivers exchange…

[46
4282,7728,6162,12439,22238,1833,1406,6180,6166,62,173,67,132,68
0":"post-218957","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-nascar","8":"tag-channel","9":"tag-chase","10":"tag-chevrolet","11":"tag-craftsman-truck-series","12":"tag-kyle-busch","13":"tag-motorsports","14":"tag-nascar","15":"tag-racing","16":"tag-series","17":"tag-sports","18":"tag-tv","19":"tag-united-states","20":"tag-unitedstates","21":"tag-us
["GET
