Castille and Director of the ULM School of Construction<br \/>\n                        Management Dr. Clint Martin. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>MONROE, LA <\/strong>\u2013 The Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors (LSLBC) and the Contractors\u2019<br \/>\n                     Educational Trust Fund (CEFT) presented a $262,000 donation to the ULM Foundation<br \/>\n                     for the ULM School of Construction Management at a ceremony held September 11, 2025.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>ULM President Dr. Carrie L. Castille thanked the groups for the donation and applauded<br \/>\n                     what it will be able to do for the school. \u201cWe are really proud of our School of Construction<br \/>\n                     Management,\u201d said Castille. \u201cIt\u2019s growing, and our goal is to make sure that we are<br \/>\n                     meeting the needs of the industry. This type of support is exactly what we need to<br \/>\n                     be able to continue to grow this program,\u201d she added. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To date, the LSLBC and the CETF have donated more than $4 million combined to the<br \/>\n                     ULM School of Construction Management. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe do this because we are the end-users of the \u2018product\u2019 that is the graduates of<br \/>\n                     this school,\u201d said Ken Naquin, Secretary\/Treasurer of the Contractors\u2019 Educational<br \/>\n                     Trust Fund, as he presented the donation. \u201cThe better you can make that product, the<br \/>\n                     better it is for us. It is an honor that this industry I\u2019ve worked in for over 45<br \/>\n                     years gives back to help prepare young men and women for the industry,\u201d he added.<br \/>\n                     \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The funds for the donation come from licensing fees paid by contractors in the state<br \/>\n                     to the LSLBC, which is then distributed to accredited schools of construction in Louisiana,<br \/>\n                     including ULM, LSU, and Louisiana Tech, as well as a two-year accredited program at<br \/>\n                     Baton Rouge Community College. \u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>The many years of support from these organizations have allowed the School of Construction<br \/>\n                     Management to improve facilities, technology, and student experiences.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Clint Martin, Director of the ULM School of Construction Management, says the<br \/>\n                     funds from the groups\u2019 donations over the years have been used to purchase new software<br \/>\n                     and new computer labs, among other initiatives. \u201cIt\u2019s really humbling to see these<br \/>\n                     groups give back to us, and we are very thankful for it. It\u2019s our dedication to provide<br \/>\n                     the industry with the very best and brightest students and students who are going<br \/>\n                     to be leaders,\u201d said Martin.
