STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — For decades, buses have played an integral role in transportation on Staten Island.<\/p>\n

From city buses to school buses, Staten Island residents have long relied on the large, lumbering vehicles to travel within the borough and to other parts of the city — with Staten Island lacking the railway infrastructure of other nearby areas.<\/p>\n
