Marvel Studios has unveiled a new Avengers: Doomsday<\/a><\/strong> art for the long-awaited next installment to the blockbuster franchise. The promotional art was featured at the Disney 2026 Merchandise Expo in China.<\/p>\n

The star-studded superhero movie is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026, pitting it directly against Warner Bros.\u2019 Dune: Part Three. It will also debut in the same month as another high-profile movie in the form of DreamWorks Animation\u2019s Shrek 5. <\/p>\n

What does the new Avengers: Doomsday art show?<\/p>\n

Shared on X, the Avengers: Doomsday key art provides fans with the best look at Robert Downey Jr<\/a>.\u2019s version of Victor von Doom\/Doctor Doom yet, including closer details about the fan-favorite Marvel character\u2019s suit. Fans first caught a glimpse of Doctor Doom at the end of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. According to Sue Storm\/Invisible Woman actress Vanessa Kirby, it was really Downey who appeared<\/a> during the movie\u2019s mid-credits scene. She also confirmed that the former Iron Man star guided them throughout the production of First Steps.<\/p>\n

Avengers: Doomsday is being directed by Avengers: Endgame filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo from a screenplay written by Stephen McFeely. The ensemble cast will also feature returning Marvel vets Chris Hemsworth<\/a>, Pascal, Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Paul Rudd, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Lewis Pullman, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen, Anthony Mackie, Simu Liu, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, and Danny Ramirez.<\/p>\n

The fifth installment will also feature the return of X-Men stars Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. Following the movie\u2019s viral casting announcement video, Feige previously confirmed they haven\u2019t revealed the entire cast yet, teasing more casting announcements in the future. Recent casting rumors suggested that Doctor St<\/a>r<\/a>ange<\/a>, Deadpool<\/a>, Peggy Carter, Steve Rogers<\/a>, and Spider-Man<\/a> might also appear in Doomsday.<\/p>\n
