PHOENIX \u2014 Vestar, one of the largest private retail real estate companies in the western U.S., announced plans to move forward with the 90-acre Laveen Towne Center.<\/p>\n

It would be another addition to\u00a0Vestar\u2019s ever-growing Valley portfolio that also includes the Verrado Marketplace, Legacy Park in Mesa, Desert Ridge Marketplace in Phoenix, Tempe Marketplace, Queen Creek Marketplace and part ownership of the Scottsdale Quarter.<\/p>\n

The Laveen Towne Center is set to break ground in the summer of 2026 and plans to open in the winter of 2027.<\/p>\n

Shopping, dining and entertainment destinations will all be options at the retail center.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re incredibly excited to bring this long-awaited project to the Laveen community,\u201d David Larcher, president and CEO of Vestar, said in a press release. \u201cOur goal is to create places that become the fabric of the communities we serve, where people gather, connect and make memories.\u201d<\/p>\n

Where is Laveen Towne Center going to be?<\/p>\n

The development<\/a>\u00a0will center around the historic Hudson Farmhouse on 59th Avenue and Dobbins Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Developers are going to use the building\u2019s architecture as the basis of influence for the rest of the structures in the center, while also improving roadways and sidewalks in the area.<\/p>\n
