Sexual assault and unlawful restraint is a second-degree felony punishable by imprisonment in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice between two and 20 years. Perpetrators may also receive a fine not exceeding $10,000. <\/p>\n
Theft of property<\/strong> <\/p>\nOn Sept. 7, a male student reported the theft of his laptop while it was left unattended, McCord said. <\/p>\n
Theft of property valued between $750 and $2,500 is a class A misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $4,000, up to one year in jail or both. <\/p>\n
