Riggs triggered the first caution of the race with a surprising Lap 1 spin, but he managed to avoid sustaining any damage.

Another playoff driver, Chandler Smith, faced mechanical gremlins and had to replace the ECU.

At the end of the stage, Parker Kligerman tagged the wall directly in front of Garcia, but the leader managed to avoid any drama.

Unfortunately, misfortune would soon find him as Garcia reported that he lost power steering between the stages. He went several laps down as a result, and fell out of contention.

In Stage 2, Kaden Honeycutt and Tyler Ankrum collided while battle for second on track. Honeycutt had a big run around the top, and sent Ankrum spinning after bumping him from behind. He apologized on the radio following the incident.

Heim went on to win the second stage, but not without having to fight for it. He and Riggs battled back-and-forth, moving all over the track as Riggs tried to find a way by. He ended up snatching the lead at the start of Stage 3, and with no further cautions, he drove off with the win.

Read Also:

In this article

Be the first to know and subscribe for real-time news email updates on these topics

    Subscribe to news alerts

Not even an early spin could deny Layne Riggs as he charged to the win in Thursday night’s…

[46
116807,65516,24387,61656,119795,1406,10792,62,67,132,68
0":"post-219816","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-nascar","8":"tag-bristol-ii","9":"tag-bristol-motor-speedway","10":"tag-front-row-motorsports","11":"tag-layne-riggs","12":"tag-layne-riggs-fights-back-from-spin-to-win-bristol-nascar-truck-race","13":"tag-nascar","14":"tag-nascar-truck","15":"tag-sports","16":"tag-united-states","17":"tag-unitedstates","18":"tag-us
["GET
