Several members of an alleged burglary ring were arrested in downtown Los Angeles, accused of thefts across multiple counties.<\/p>\n
Investigators with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department arrested at least three burglary suspects Thursday afternoon outside a luxury apartment complex.<\/p>\n
Detectives, who have been working this case for some time, tell NBCLA they decided to move in on the alleged thieves when they saw them sitting in a car around 2 p.m. on Freemont Street.<\/p>\n
The suspects attempted to drive away but crashed into a parked car. Two men and a woman were placed into custody.<\/p>\n
The alleged crew members are linked to burglaries in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, according to authorities.<\/p>\n
Sheriff’s deputies carried out a search warrant at the apartment building where one of the suspects lived. Neighbors tell NBCLA that the group would host loud parties, prompting visits from security more than once.<\/p>\n
“We heard that they tracked down a criminal organization, and some of those people were living in our building. So I’m very happy to hear that they’ve been found out and taken care of,” said Christy Charboneau.<\/p>\n
