Lee\" width=\"420\" height=\"280\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This year marks the 24th anniversary of 9\/11 and as in other years the commemoration ceremony will take place on the Memorial plaza and focus on an in-person reading of the names by family members. The plaza is only open to invited guests. The program will commence at 8:30 a.m., and the first moment of silence will be observed at 8:46 a.m. Families can access the plaza beginning at 7:30 a.m., and the commemoration is expected to conclude at approximately 1:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tribecacitizen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Tribute-in-Light-5.jpg\" data-slb-active=\"1\" data-slb-asset=\"1393114011\" data-slb-internal=\"0\" data-slb-group=\"196660\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-188863 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Tribute-in-Light-5-420x558.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"558\"   \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>TRIBUTE IN LIGHT<\/strong><br \/>From dusk today until dawn on September 12, the 9\/11 Memorial &amp; Museum will host its annual commemorative art installation \u2013 Tribute in Light. The iconic tribute was first presented six months after 9\/11 even while recovery and relief efforts at Ground Zero were still underway. Read<a href=\"https:\/\/tribecacitizen.com\/2024\/09\/11\/lighting-the-dark-on-9-11\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> more about the operation here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>ST. PAUL\u2019S CHAPEL WILL RING BELL OF HOPE<\/strong><br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/trinitychurchnyc.org\/stories-news\/remembering-911-trinity-rings-bell-hope\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">St. Paul\u2019s Chapel<\/a>, part of the Episcopal Parish of Trinity Church Wall Street, will offer prayers and reflections in remembrance of the victims of the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and United Flight 93 on this 22nd anniversary of 9\/11. At precisely 8:46 AM, when the first plane crashed into 1 WTC (North Tower), the chapel will ring the Bell of Hope in a pattern of \u201cfour fives\u201d (four sets of five rings), the traditional firefighters\u2019 salute to the fallen. The chapel and churchyard\u202fare open to the public daily from 8:30a to 6p.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FREE ADMISSION ON FIRST SUNDAYS AT THE MUSEUM<\/strong><br \/>The 9\/11 Memorial Museum changed its free hours to New Yorkers to the first Sunday of each month through this year.<a href=\"https:\/\/911memorial.org\/visit\/new-york-first-sundays\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> See more information here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>CLEANING THE POOLS AT THE MEMORIAL<\/strong><br \/>As a bonus, this remarkable short doc about the pool cleaners at the memorial pools by Joshua Charow, who has made videos of many artists in the neighborhood.
