\u201cLook, you have vaccines that work. They just pure and simple work,\u201d Trump said. \u201cThey\u2019re not controversial at all.\u201d <\/p>\n

Colbert seemed impressed… at first. <\/p>\n

\u201cWow,\u201d he said. \u201cThat is shockingly sensible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then he added: \u201cBut you know what they say about a broken clock. It was close friends with Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>.\u201d <\/p>\n

The president and his allies in Congress have been trying to block the release of additional files<\/a> related to Epstein, the late convicted sex offender who was once close friends with Trump. <\/p>\n

Colbert also spotted a story in New York, where the president\u2019s company, the Trump Organization, has been trying to win the contract to operate the skating rink in Central Park, as it did for decades until 2021. <\/p>\n

Colbert\u2019s audience cheered the news. <\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t applaud, that\u2019s terrible!\u201d he mockingly scolded them. \u201cNow I\u2019ll never realize my dream of seeing \u2018Cankles On Ice.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n
