How to sum up General Hospital this week? Between Sidwell bribing the judge in Michael and Willow\u2019s custody case and someone stalking Baby Daisy, \u201cThat was unexpected!\u201d and \u201cWhere the hell is this going?\u201d feel like appropriate statements. Plus, it finally seems the show is about to deliver what viewers have been waiting for and serve Drew what he has coming. Let\u2019s discuss!<\/p>\n
Baby Daisy, You\u2019re In Danger, Girl!<\/p>\n
Because the ABC soap can\u2019t let Sasha be happy for more than a week, someone now appears obsessed with her newborn, Daisy. First, they visited her in the hospital nursery and then the nursery at the Quartermaines\u2019 place. Viewers already believe Willow is the guilty party. She would not only have access to the nursery at the hospital as a nurse but also be familiar with the Qs\u2019 mansion. The popular theory is that Willow\u2019s breakdown has caused a split personality, a storyline idea I thought would work a while back, but for a \u201cWho shot Drew?<\/a>\u201d storyline. But it also works here, and it would be interesting to see Willow adopt Nelle\u2019s personality, or perhaps even Harmony\u2019s, as she fixates on Baby Daisy, given that she\u2019s lost her own children.<\/p>\n Other possible suspects stalking Daisy? Some have suggested Drew could be putting a plan in motion to drive Sasha crazy to make it look like Michael\u2019s home life is less than stable. Then there is Sidwell, who bribed the judge to rule in Michael\u2019s favor for full custody. I don\u2019t think anyone saw that one coming. What is Sidwell\u2019s motive? Does he want all Michael\u2019s children under one roof for a nefarious reason?<\/p>\n Of course, there could be a more innocent explanation, and it\u2019s Holly, Sasha\u2019s mother and Daisy\u2019s grandmother. Perhaps she\u2019s snuck into town to glimpse at her first grandchild? Regardless of who it is and why, viewers appear united and don\u2019t want to watch Sasha suffer more through a kidnapping storyline.<\/p>\n More:<\/strong>\u00a0What was the\u00a0point of Sasha\u2019s baby scare?<\/a><\/p>\n Someone Should Take Drew Down<\/p>\n For months now, viewers have been expecting a mystery surrounding who tried to kill Drew. Heck, even I thought it would happen at the Nurses Ball! With Trina and Joss listing off the suspects who have beef with the congressman<\/a>, it seems we are closer than ever to watching Drew get what\u2019s been coming to him. Trina\u2019s comment that she just hoped Kai wasn\u2019t around when and if someone went after Drew seemed to be a bit of foreshadowing as well. But who will try to take Drew out?<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Again, many are looking at Willow and a possible split personality<\/a> as the number one suspect who might take Drew out. I\u2019m amazed Willow was let out of the hospital in her condition, and nobody noticed her walking around, dazed and confused. All she does is comment on how tired she is and that her life has no meaning without her kids. She also seems to be missing time and notes, \u201cI guess I went back to sleep.\u201d Hello, people, Willow is showing signs of clinical depression or something else like dissociative identity disorder! Where is Kevin when you need him? Perhaps this is what will bring DID expert Victoria Lord to Port Charles?<\/a><\/p>\n With Drew convincing Willow to marry him, the writers have set up the perfect venue for Drew\u2019s takedown: the wedding! It\u2019s not as if anyone will attend the nuptials, so it wouldn\u2019t be hard for a wannabe assassin to hide and take their shot.<\/p>\n More:\u00a0<\/strong>Food Network star Anne Burrell dead at 55<\/a><\/p>\n Other Storyline Ponderings<\/p>\n Brook Lynn delivering that slap to Lulu was worth the wait, as was Maxie telling Lulu that she needs to own the fact that she hurt Brook Lynn\u2019s child. It was nice to see Lulu deliver what felt like a heartfelt apology to Gio, but the young man is still directing all his anger at his birth parents and won\u2019t give up the idea that Brook Lynn didn\u2019t want him. I give Lulu the tiniest, microscopic bit of credit for defending Brook Lynn to Gio and telling him that not wanting to see the child you are giving up is a protective mechanism many birth mothers use. It\u2019s a good thing softball season is here, and it will force Gio, Dante and Brook Lynn to face one another on the field!<\/p>\n Brook Lynn is researching Britt stealing Dante and Lulu\u2019s embryo, and everyone is hoping the writers won\u2019t rewrite Rocco\u2019s birth storyline<\/a> and somehow make Britt his biological mother. Presently, the writers at General Hospital seem to thrive on writing storylines that are unpopular with the viewers. In other words, don\u2019t be surprised if it happens!<\/p>\n As Curtis was trying to convince Tracy to take Martin\u2019s deal and publicly grovel to Drew, Michael noted that the drug Tracy\u2019s been accused of slipping to Drew is used on horses. Given that Tracy is an avid rider and the Quartermaines own a stable full of horses, did Michael give Tracy an excuse, at least for the cops, as to why she\u2019d have ketamine in her car?<\/p>\n Well, here we go. Last week, I wondered if the show was pushing Curtis and Jordan back together<\/a>, and that\u2019s exactly what appears to be happening. Curtis\u2019 marriage is on the rocks, and Jordan doesn\u2019t know what to think or do about it.<\/p>\n It\u2019s clear Marco has a soft spot for his father, but he can\u2019t be so blind as not to understand that Sidwell is engaged in numerous criminal activities, can he?<\/p>\n Joss, the superspy investigating Dalton, and Emma\u2019s anger over Joss stealing her research job, still isn\u2019t grabbing or holding my attention. It\u2019s time to move this storyline along and give us a hint at what Dalton\u2019s really doing in that lab.<\/p>\n Finally, the dog that Emma and Gio found in the park stole the show this week! It was pretty brassy for Emma to tell her grandma, whose place she\u2019s living in, that she might keep the dog. Maybe ask if that\u2019s OK first?<\/p>\n That\u2019s it for my thoughts, opinions and predictions this week.
