The series highlights local artists and creators and has seen creatives like sculptor Peter Cucinelli, painter Marilyn Stubblebine, photographer Stuart Goldenberg and more add their work to the line-up in the past. Alvarez and Sanchez\u2019s showcase specifically will highlight identity, heritage, and the significance of memory and place.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJaime Alvarez and Marta Sanchez bring extraordinary perspectives to this year\u2019s Hispanic Heritage Month exhibit,\u201d said Rachel Zimmerman, co-founder and executive director at InLiquid. \u201cTheir work speaks to the intersection of memory, heritage, and lived experience, offering viewers a deeply resonant sense of place and cultural narrative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-198814\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/jaime-portrait022-copy-hi-res.jpg\" alt=\"Hyatt\" width=\"560\" height=\"700\"  \/>Jaime Alvarez is shown.PROVIDED\/PUNCH MEDIA<\/p>\n<p>Alvarez, who was born in Puerto Rico, utilizes both photography and different types of installations to \u201ccapture objects and spaces imbued with human presence.\u201d Sanchez, on the other hand, uses a mixed inspiration source of traditional Mexican folkloric expressions and current social issues to shine through colorful prints and tin paintings.<\/p>\n<p>Locals may have seen Alvarez\u2019s work in sites like Comcast, Drexel University, and the Mexic-Arte Museum in Austin, Texas; and Sanchez\u2019s in the <a href=\"https:\/\/metrophiladelphia.com\/philadelphia-museum-of-art-free-busing\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Philadelphia Museum of Art<\/a>, El Museo del Barrio in New York, The National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago, \u201cThe Cheech\u201d Riverside Museum in California, and more. Sanchez also holds an MFA in Painting from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University, and she can also be seen teaching at Saint Joseph\u2019s University and the Woodmere Art Museum, while additionally serving on the board of The Print Center.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-198812 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/IMG_3772.jpg\" alt=\"Hyatt\" width=\"525\" height=\"700\"  \/>Marta Sanchez is shown.PROVIDED\/PUNCH MEDIA<\/p>\n<p>Together, as a release describes, their works amplify how personal and cultural histories shape artistic storytelling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe vibrant works of Jaime Alvarez and Marta Sanchez are a welcome addition to our Maker Series during Hispanic Heritage Month,\u201d said Hyatt Centric Center City\u2019s Elizabeth Fricke. \u201cTheir art exemplifies cultural storytelling through layered narratives and bold perspectives, offering guests an inspiring experience that reflects both heritage and contemporary creativity. This exhibit enhances our space while strengthening our connection to local artists and their communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Philadelphians can get up close and personal with the exhibit through the opening reception, taking place Thursday, Sept. 25, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The evening will feature complimentary light bites from the venue\u2019s restaurant (Patchwork) and pay-as-you-go craft cocktails.
