The next location of <a href=\"https:\/\/loscucos.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Los Cucos Mexican Cafe<\/strong><\/a> will open later this year in <a href=\"https:\/\/cityplacenow.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">City Place<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Located at 1401 Lake Plaza Dr., the restaurant will occupy approximately 7,700 square feet near City Place Plaza. Modeled after a store that opened in Montgomery last year, the new Los Cucos will feature upgraded interiors and a wraparound patio. <\/p>\n<p class=\"shortcode-media shortcode-media-rebelmouse-image\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"e5611\" data-rm-shortcode-id=\"00549809fa8a72eca8caec51a14b187b\" data-rm-shortcode-name=\"rebelmouse-image\" class=\"rm-shortcode rm-lazyloadable-image \" lazy-loadable=\"true\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns='http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg'%20viewBox='0%200%201285%20964'%3E%3C\/svg%3E\" data-runner-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/los-cucos-city-place-rendering.jpg\" width=\"1285\" height=\"964\" alt=\"Los Cucos City Place rendering\"\/> Los Cucos will occupy about 7,700 square feet.Courtesy of City Place<\/p>\n<p>Founded in Katy by the Cabrera family 30 years, Los Cucos has built a devoted following for its well-executed Tex-Mex fare and warm service. Signature items include beef, chicken, and shrimp fajitas, enchiladas verdes, and a creamy green salsa. The restaurant\u2019s success has allowed the family to expand with other concepts such as Vida Mariscos and Lago Mariscos \u2014 both seafood restaurants with a sports bar component \u2014 and Brazilian steakhouse Gauchos Do Sul.<\/p>\n<p>Margaritas \u2014 rocks, frozen, or fruit-forward \u2014 lead the cocktail program, alongside other, agave-based sips and a range of beers. They\u2019re featured during happy hour that should appeal to employees of nearby businesses such as Exxon Mobil and HP. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur vision for this location goes beyond being just another dining option \u2014 it\u2019s about bringing energy and atmosphere to the heart of City Place, especially in the evenings and on weekends,\u201d owner Sergio Cabrera Jr said in a statement. \u201cWe were drawn to City Place not only by its thoughtfully designed setting, but also the built-in customer base. It\u2019s a wonderful opportunity to serve a wide-ranging and growing audience of professionals, residents, and visitors every day of the week.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Los Cucos will join a number of restaurants at City Place, including <a href=\"https:\/\/houston.culturemap.com\/news\/restaurants-bars\/05-06-19-common-bond-city-place-springwoods-village\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Common Bond<\/a>, Island Grill, and <a href=\"https:\/\/houston.culturemap.com\/11-05-21-sushi-rebel-new-restaurant-city-place-spring-the-woodlands\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Sushi Rebel<\/a>.
