Portion of westbound I-10 to close in Phoenix over the weekend<\/p>\n
The first closure ADOT warned drivers about will happen on I-10, west of downtown Phoenix near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.<\/p>\n
The westbound lanes of the freeway will be closed between the \u201cSplit\u201d interchange near the airport and Seventh Avenue from 9 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n
This closure is due to scheduled maintenance and inspections that need to be completed.<\/p>\n
Several ramps will also be closed. Those include:<\/p>\n
\n
- The ramp from westbound I-10 to southbound Interstate 17 at the \u201cStack\u201d interchange west of 19th Avenue.<\/li>\n
- The ramp from southbound State Route 51 to westbound I-10 at the \u201cMini-Stack\u201d interchange just east of downtown Phoenix.<\/li>\n
- The ramp from the westbound lanes of the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway to westbound I-10 at the \u201cMini-Stack\u201d interchange.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
To get around this closure, ADOT said drivers on westbound I-10 should take I-17 north around downtown Phoenix and reconnect with I-10 at the \u201cStack\u201d interchange.<\/p>\n
Portion of northbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway to close over the weekend<\/p>\n
ADOT also warned drivers that the northbound lanes of the Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed in Scottsdale between Shea Boulevard and Princess Drive\/Pima Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.<\/p>\n
This is due to the ongoing freeway widening project in that area.<\/p>\n
The on-ramps to the freeway from Via de Ventura and 90th Street will also be closed over the weekend.<\/p>\n
The off-ramp from the southbound Loop 101 at Raintree Drive is also closed and is scheduled to reopen in early November.<\/p>\n
The freeway widening project in this area is expected to be completed early next year.<\/p>\n
Other closures to note this weekend<\/p>\n
ADOT\u2019s advisory also warned drivers about the closure of several ramps in the Valley.<\/p>\n
The department said that the ramps from both north- and southbound I-17 to the westbound lanes of the Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway in north Phoenix will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Saturday due to a ramp-widening project. During this closure, drivers can take Deer Valley Road or Union Hills Drive west to 35th Avenue, which connects with westbound Loop 101.<\/p>\n
Multiple ramps on the Loop 202 Santan Freeway in Chandler and Gilbert will also be closed, according to ADOT.<\/p>\n
The eastbound on-ramp at Cooper Road and the off-ramp at Gilbert Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n
The eastbound on-ramp at Arizona Avenue will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.<\/p>\n
The westbound on-ramp at Val Vista Drive will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n
These closures, and several others that are already in place, are due to the ongoing freeway widening project in that area.<\/p>\n
