On the heels of a turbulent weather week that saw dangerous heat and strong thunderstorms, another day of typical summer temperatures is on deck for the Chicago area.<\/p>\n
Plenty of sunshine is visible to start the day, with some morning cloud cover expected to dissipate as the day goes on, with temperatures in the low-to-mid 70s in the mid-morning hours.<\/p>\n
Temperatures are expected to steadily rise throughout the day, with the mercury likely hitting the mid-to-high 80s by the late afternoon hours, though cooler temperatures are expected near Lake Michigan.<\/p>\n
Differing from the more intense heat from last weekend, those outdoors on Saturday aren’t likely to feel much of a breeze, with winds from the east at five to 10 miles per hour forecasted.<\/p>\n
The searing heat returns with a vengeance on Sunday, as highs are expected to reach the low 90s, with the possibility of scattered thunderstorms arriving to the area by the mid-to-late afternoon.<\/p>\n
More widespread precipitation is anticipated on Monday, with showers early in the day expected to transition into thunderstorms, with high temperatures in the mid 80s.<\/p>\n
