Kate Middleton and Melania Trump are teaming up for their first joint engagement<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
The Princess of Wales and the First Lady of the United States will step out together during the U.S. state visit to the U.K. next week<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Princess Kate, 43, and Melania, 43, will spend time with an organization close to Kate’s heart<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Kate Middleton<\/a> and First Lady Melania Trump<\/a> are set to team up for their first joint engagement during next week\u2019s U.S. state visit to the U.K.<\/p>\n On Sept. 10, Buckingham Palace announced details of the visit, which will bring President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania, 55, to Britain from Sept. 16 to 18. The itinerary highlights a rare joint outing for Princess Kate, 43, and the American First Lady. Kate and her husband, Prince William<\/a>, will also officially welcome the couple on Sept. 17, following their arrival the previous evening.<\/p>\n On Thursday, Sept. 18, the Princess of Wales and Melania will step out at Frogmore Gardens in Windsor, where they\u2019ll join the U.K.\u2019s Chief Scout Dwayne Fields and members of the Scouts\u2019 Squirrels program as youngsters explore nature while earning their \u201cGo Wild\u201d badge.<\/p>\n The visit is part of the state trip being hosted by King Charles<\/a>. Princess Kate announced in March 2024 that she was receiving cancer treatment<\/a>, said in September that she completed chemotherapy<\/a> and shared in January that she is in remission<\/a>.<\/p>\n In March, Princess Kate joined Fields and some young Scouts for a visit to the Lake District<\/a>, one of her family’s favorite spots, and Fields told PEOPLE<\/a> what Princess Kate shared about how the outdoors brought her solace during her cancer journey.<\/p>\n “She would say, \u2018During my recovery, I spent a lot of time in the outdoors because that\u2019s where I felt at peace.\u2019 Or \u2018myself and the family come out to the Lakes as often as we can,’ ” the Chief Scout said. “When people speak about themselves, it feels like they are giving you something, giving a little bit away, and not just there to take. That\u2019s her superpower.
