{"id":222479,"date":"2025-09-13T02:58:09","date_gmt":"2025-09-13T02:58:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/222479\/"},"modified":"2025-09-13T02:58:09","modified_gmt":"2025-09-13T02:58:09","slug":"san-diego-city-councilmember-campbell-agrees-to-pay-300-for-campaign-violation-san-diego-union-tribune","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/222479\/","title":{"rendered":"San Diego City Councilmember Campbell agrees to pay $300 for campaign violation \u2013 San Diego Union-Tribune"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>San Diego City Councilmember Jennifer Campbell has admitted violating city record-keeping rules during her 2022 re-election campaign and agreed to pay a $300 fine to resolve the case brought by the San Diego Ethics Commission.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sandiego.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/2025-09\/stip24-17.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a stipulation<\/a> posted on the city website, Campbell failed to retain original copies of campaign literature distributed by her campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement says Campbell\u2019s campaign was selected for audit at a random drawing in 2023.
